Boston

Name: Boston
Nickname: Best Boy in the Whole World, Handsome Man, Love Bug
Breed: Mommy and Daddy think I'm a mixture of Maine Coon and Tabby
Age: 5 years old (Birthday: June 2008)
Rank in Household: I use to be the top kitty but now with Horatio and all his 'tude, I am now the Beta
Favorite Activity: Getting one-on-one loving time with Mommy

One of the Crazy Things I've Done: I got into a catnip bag and ate all the catnip...so I'm told.  That day's a blurr.
Favorite Thing: Kick-A-Roo
Least Favorite Thing: Young children - they are strange, unpredictable creatures
Addiction:  Whining!  I whine for things I want and I whine louder for things I want that I don't get.  Mommy thinks it's cute and funny...at least for the first 5 minutes.
Bad Habit: I tend to like (and therefore, eat/steal) most human foods - like weird human foods.  One time I ate my daddy's Salsa flavored SunChips.  I guess that was not the smartest move since that gave me a really upset tummy (and unhappy bottom) for about a week.
Quirk: I like to lie and sleep on my back.  See here.
Daddy Only Fav:  Head-butts
Mommy Only Fav: Nuzzles (like this but on Mommy's neck)

My history pre-forever home: The humane society we got him from had no information on his history besides the fact that he was brought to them as a single kitten.

How I became a part of the family (from Mommy's eyes): A couple of months after my husband and I married in 2008, we got news that he would deploy for a year.  So we decided it would be a good idea to get me a cute, fluffy, little companion.  The very next day I went to the Humane Society to look for the perfect kitten.  I saw many cute kittens that I "Ooo" and "Aww'd" over.  Then I moved just one more cage to the right. My eyes fell upon the cutest kitten ever!  All the other kittens were in cages with siblings, but this little one was all alone.  I immediately opened up the cage, got eye level with the kitten, lightly clapped my hands together and then opened them and said, "Hi, baby."  That little kitten lit up and immediately came straight to my hands!  I picked him up, hugged, and cuddled him.  He completely won me over!  I loved him already!

The little kitten could not come home with me yet - he still needed to get neutered.  So I had to leave my baby there for a couple of days.  I went back the next day to visit him - I was missing my baby kitten already.  Then two days after I first fell in love with him, I was able to bring him home!  I was so excited.  He was absolutely perfect!  He loved his new home and his new mommy!  He and I both quickly realized his favorite thing to do was nuzzle.  He would snuggle in on my chest and put his sweet little nose under my neck and kneed.  I loved it!  He would do this often and his cute little nose would be so wet after nuzzle time was over.  He still nuzzles today - however, I will admit it looks quite funny (18lb adult cat instead of a 3lb kitten).

This is what kitten perfection looks like!

Even today, Boston is a complete momma's boy.  He loves his mommy and gets jealous when others want Mommy's attention.  I'm sure part of his mentality of being the best things ever comes from his mommy telling him he IS the best thing in the whole wide world.  Boston also has his own song that mommy will sing to him.  So, no, he's not spoiled at all. :)
